🌖 Peugeot 206 Fuel Injector Problems
It's gone from driving perfectly well to absolutely awfully in a few weeks. It loses power and misfires when in lower gears. Had the AA come out to look at it, they put the check engine light out, as this was flashing, and used a fault code reader and told me it was the third fuel injector.

You should only need to fit thicker washers if you either skim the cylinder head or grind the injector seats. A logged P0202 code means that the PCM has detected a circuit interruption issue in the #2 fuel injection circuit. These issues typically include a broken wire, a loose terminal, or a burned-out injector coil. This trouble code generally appears when the PCM is unable to detect the expected voltage spike from the #2 injector.
With the key in the on position use a test light or voltmeter connected to the negative side of the battery. Gently probe both sides of the injector wiring connector, one of the wires should react by registering around 12 volts on the meter or illuminating the test light. There are two more seals which you can replace, too. They are at the top of the injector. Ask for injector seals for your HDI at your local Peugeot part dealer. In my case, Peugeot was much cheaper than e*ay. You need to clean that black stuff before you remove the injector. I used a special throttle cleaner for that.
